Make Modelling Art Again II

In the first part of this series, I shared techniques for models looking to stand out as magnetic artists in social media algorithms full of content creators trying to fit in.
While modelling isn’t always an art form, it can be for you.
Magnetic models usually enjoy the results of their work and find more pleasure from their career trajectory than those trying to conform to trends and niches – conformity traps content creators. Content creators who try to speak to everyone, speak to nobody.
Great artists express themselves with such tenacity that it cuts through the noise.
Could you imagine Prince being afraid of releasing the innovatively erotic song Darling Nikki, because the radio and social media algorithm might not like it?
Could you picture Picasso choosing to paint like everyone else out of fear, instead of taking visual arts in a new direction with cubist masterpieces like Les Demoiselles d'Avignon?
Could you imagine Valentino toning down the intensity of his onscreen performance in The Sheik, because of what close-minded and sexually repressed people might have thought?
Sounds silly to even consider, doesn’t it?
That’s what so many content creators sound like these days when giving advice on how to go viral, “try to look cool” “copy these aesthetics” all the while posting content that lacks meaning. Chasing likes instead of bringing paying clients along on their unique journey.
On the other hand, if you’re a model on the artist's journey, keep in mind, this journey is not a search for perfection, it’s journey of expression.
Expressing yourself... by creating fantasies, characters, emotions, shapes and... collaborating with the visionary artists with a core message that speaks to your soul.
Don’t let the uniqueness of your soul feel silenced by the nagging police officer in your head, because here’s the thing... people buy art because of what it means to them.
This brings us into the first topic of today’s installment, which is a question you might be asking yourself now, “How models can make money by making art in today’s economy?”
Express Yourself Shamelessly
Most people try so hard to avoid shame as polite “model citizens” that society expects.
Ironically, this type of conformist behavior is precisely what keeps models stuck working in soul-sucking 9 to 5 jobs while wondering... if they will ever become a full-time model.
These models chase wedding themed photoshoots, walk in fashion shows they paid to audition for while hoping to copy the image of a Disney princess in her happily ever after moment, even though that’s not how they feel inside, or how they live their lives. The desire to present that image, doesn’t really inspire a lot of deep meaning for models in their teens and early twenties who aren’t even looking to get married, and their audience isn’t either.
Audiences hate it when creatives try to sell them fantasy they don’t believe in.
All the creatives who copy each other fall into this trap.
People who are too scared to be different in their art, tend to look back on what was popular in the past. But the process of recycling fantasies that might have resonated in the past, copying an image that meant something to the collective consciousness decades ago, doesn’t always hold up as meaningful as the years go by since the demand shrinks.
Conformist culture that tells models to value image over substance is keeping them broke.
Models who make their money regardless of how the economy is doing, have one thing in common, they expressed themselves shamelessly when given the opportunity to do so.
It’s worth mentioning that each of the 90s supermodels, dubbed the trinity, all posed nude.
Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista aren’t content creators – they are artists who expressed themselves shamelessly and this is why the fashion industry remembers their names. Think of how many models today crave the title of supermodel.
It takes a high level of grit for models be remembered as more than just a face.
While shamelessness has always been a radical idea to the general public because for most people there are layers of meaning expressed as each layer of clothing is removed, however in the fashion industry today, shamelessness is an expectation for a successful career. Everything meaningful in art requires creative risks... and the economy today is not kind to models who let shyness or judgmental eyes prevent them from taking risks.
“If you don’t want your pants pulled about, don’t become a model! Join a nunnery, there’ll always be a place for you in the convent.”
-Karl Lagerfeld
Artists have been making shameless art in every generation recorded in human history.
Today in 2025, it’s the same artists who get cancelled on twitter and shadow banned on Instagram for triggering audiences, that inspire YouTube videos of content creators trying to analyze what these artists meant... all that fascination sets the stage for a comeback.
It’s up to artists to outsmart content creators by making shameless art dripping with meaning. To keep them guessing and discovering hidden meanings and symbols.
Meaning is the true arbiter of value in art... not how it looks... and when a model poses nude, or semi-nude on the cover of a fashion magazine, there is a flowing abundance of meaning... that the right eyes can drink in... as they look at the cover that inspires them to buy the magazine. Ignorant people who think modelling is just about being pretty... miss symbolic depths expressed inside fashion editorials. Meanings that make money such as:
This is a model who is stepping into her power
This is a model who is confident with her sensuality
This is a model who is comfortable in her body
This is a model who isn’t afraid to be controversial
This is a model who is a fun and adventurous free spirt
This is a model so magnetic she doesn’t need designer clothes
The more shameless your self-expression gets, the more meaningful it becomes to your audience. Their journey is a quest to discover what it means for them personally.
What’s more is, a sensitive person will see more layers of meaning in the same artwork than an ignorant person. If you’re a model looking to make money from your art – don’t water down your magnetism or dilute your core message for the ignorant masses.
Express yourself so shamelessly, so people who get it will feel fascinated by your work.
Remember that if you are an artist, your career trajectory is determined by your ability to sell fantasies. If an editorial photographer or fashion designer at a go-see casting does not think you can sell the right fantasies for their markets, then why would they hire you?
The people who will eventually become your ride or die fans, who will look up to you for inspiration and spend their money supporting you need fantasies that are full of meaning.
Avoid being another cog in the capitalist wheel of content creation, where you feel so limited by guilt and shame that whenever you post it feels like in the police officer your head is telling you to hurry up and finish... because someone else needs the room.
Today I will teach you to ignore that pesky voice and express yourself shamelessly.
Making shameless art is like having spiritual sex, it is a direct communication with the universe, the feeling of being touched by God and sharing these soulful messages with your audience. Making art can be your religion, choosing to make art instead of content can be your political statement. Even if some of your audience feels triggered by the art you share, it still means something to them, which is why they feel so strongly about it.
Transcend Your Limitations
Now here’s a pretty interesting thing for artists to do.
Ask yourself, “What is stopping you from stepping into your power as an artist.”
It’s the kind of question I like to ask my fashion disciples after we have figured out their core message, because when you make the decision to fill your art with meaning, there are going to be distractions in your path and it’s helpful to bring those distractions into conscious awareness. Some examples might include fears like:
Fear of offending the audience
Fear of scaring away IG followers
Fear of living below the poverty line
Fear of being labelled a promiscuous girl or a playboy
These are some pretty common fears artists face that can hold them back from making shameless art... and while there might be some other limitations that are holding you back – you can still engage with this mental exercise by writing a list of what is stopping you from stepping into your power as an artist. Making this list is essential for your growth.
Be brutally honest with yourself because the next step requires even more authenticity.
After you have a list of your limitations... dig deeper to discover why they feel so restrictive.
Fear of offending the audience could mean negative labels or a public cancellation.
Fear of scaring away Instagram followers could mean feeling insecure about your self-worth or feeling pathologically limited by your own natural desire to receive validation.
Fear of living below the poverty line could mean feeling anxious about paying rent, and scared of never owning a home, it could a fear of getting cut off financially by your parents, even the terror of living on the streets and the oppressive experience of homelessness.
Fear of being seen as promiscuous could mean feeling depressed about a breakup with a jealous partner who was too judgmental, or even feeling anxious about how your friends, colleagues and family members would react to you making money from shameless art.
You’ve just imagined several worst-case scenarios, so take a moment to breathe and relax.
By this point, it should be as clear as a shot glass, which kinds of limitations are keeping you from making money as a model with shameless art. This is the internal struggle you’re fighting to express yourself authentically, the battle that you must win in your artistic journey, so let's consider what could happen if you transcend these limitations.

It’s time to think of the best-case scenarios.
Global recognition as a great artist from your audience of paying fans.
An abundance of followers eager to see your next move and come to your shows.
The freedom to travel the world and the choice of living wherever you desire.
An endless stream of potential lovers who fantasize about giving you their best.
If you were paying attention, you’ll notice that each best-case scenario is the opposite of the worst-case scenario we discussed before. On the other side of your limitations are the life-changing goals that you fantasize about as an artist. So, the question of transcending your limitations is an important step in your creative journey of shameless self-expression.
Every time the fears from your limitations threaten you... think of the best-case scenario.
Every time you feel anxious about a photoshoot... think of the best-case scenario.
Every time you hesitate to post an erotic photo online... think of the best-case scenario.
Meaningful Art Makes Money
There was a model I met last year at a networking event... we talked for a few moments, I described her unique vibe before taking pictures and following each other on Instagram.
After I sent over the photos, we decided to step it up a notch for our next photoshoot with a boudoir shoot that made it on the cover of Marika magazine that same year.
The shamelessness of the photoshoot is what made it stand out among the countless photos that fashion magazine editors receive every day... and the title I gave the editorial added layers of meaning that I still get asked about today when I meet new models at networking events. At first she didn’t understand why I put our work in the erotic art section reserved for supporters and disciples on this website, but when I explained the meaning of erotic art and how inspires women to feel more comfortable with their sensuality, then the meaning of our photoshoot changed for her... and she’s been making erotic art ever since.

When your modelling becomes meaningful enough to put your name in the mouth of people you haven’t met, then it will inspire some cowardly imitators looking to profit from your originality by watering it down and making it more palatable for polite society.
This is why it’s extremely important for models who make shameless art to lock in with a practical structure designed to attract wealth with the display of meaningful erotic art.
The secret is making sure the meaningful art you post takes your audience on a journey.
Not just an inner journey of feeling powerful emotions while looking at your social media page, learn to inspire your audience to connect with you elsewhere, away from the sexual restrictions of Instagram or YouTube, away from the prying eyes of twitter threads.
Don’t get me wrong, you can still use social media accounts as an artist. But if you want to make money as an artist, you’ll need to bring the audience into your shameless world.
Give them a little taste on social media that encourages your fans to search for more.
Remember that the main differences between erotic art and porn is character depth and the feeling of anticipation. Erotic art makes you care about the sexy characters you see.
Don’t post everything you make on Instagram, after all, IG is free entertainment.
You shouldn’t have to compete with brain rot content creators there, when you can simply invite your audience on a journey of meaningful discovery in more open-minded spaces where your art can flourish. Instead, post with the intention of sharing your message in a way that entices your audience to leave the social media apps for something better.
A few websites I’ve encouraged models on this journey to sign up for are:
Patreon is a subscription-based website where models that make erotic art and nude art can charge monthly fees of up to $100 per month for their audience. What’s uniquely interesting about Patreon is there are a variety of subscription options for fans to sign up for, and models have the freedom to decide the pricing and the benefits, as these perks increase, so do the monthly fees to subscribe. Several models in fashion magazines sold on this website (including Anna Collini.. Marika cover girl) have Patreon accounts where you can find more shameless art that we made together. All kinds of artists use Patreon, but it’s artists who make shameless art who earn the most.
Sunroom is a subscription-based app where female models can build online communities full of open-minded people as they post provocative art, behind the scenes videos, and share messages by speaking directly to the camera while receiving online gifts from these fans who pay to send models messages. All kinds of women use sunroom from models and actresses to mommy bloggers and sex workers.
Onlyfans is the most popular subscription-based website where models who make nude or erotic art can charge monthly fees, these subscription fees often fall between $9.99 to $20 per month which makes it easier for models to scale upwards and build a much larger fanbase. Some of the fetish models and camgirls in the photo albums of this website have Onlyfans accounts because every post there is an opportunity to step into her power and attract the attention of a big spender looking to send tips. Onlyfans also has the option for models to get paid handsomely for interacting with their audience. While there is a widespread assumption in social media spaces that every model with an Onlyfans account is also a pornstar or sex worker, that isn’t true. Models who make erotic art don’t have to have sex on camera to become sex symbols, but keep in mind that Kim Kardashian did both, and now she’s a billionaire.
Some models will pick one of these options for their journey of shamelessness, other more ambitious models will use more than one, learning how different demographics respond to their unique self-expression. After earning enough money to create your own schedule, the kind of money known as fuck you money, all that pressure to conform to standards of polite society evaporates, so this means that making shameless art awakens your fearlessness.
Posting a sensual selfie, or one of the pictures from an editorial on your Instagram story, with a link to your shameless world can be the start of a very profitable journey as an artist.
What’s more is, some models who walk in fashion week today, and pose on the cover of fashion magazines were able to get those opportunities because of how they were able to transcend their limitations on this website, or on Onlyfans, Patreon, and Sunroom.
Some models here even have their own websites with a vault of erotic art.
Create a vault of shameless art so erotic that Instagram won’t let you post it without flagging it and the right eyes will see the layers of meaning embedded in each photo, create a world for your vault where it feels safe to feel the emotions you usually repress.
Fill your audience with a burning desire to discover more.
Consistency is key. So, if you’re on this path, make art as often as you can.
See what happens when you make performance art every day, while connecting with visionary artists who add to your vault. Find the photographers who get the meaning.
Then do it again... and again. Find the videographers who get the meaning.
Then do it again... and again... and watch paying clients find you.
Because you made modelling art again.
